Mark has performed as a soloist in St Petersbourg, Moscow, Paris. Lisbon, Porto, Genoa. Montpellier, Brasilia, Seoul and Melbourne, with such notable orchestras as St Petersburg Philharmonic, Porto Symphony, Soloists of Moscow-Montpellier and Melbourne Symphony. His most recent solo performance took place in Victoria, where he toured the state with the MSO playing Tchaikovski ' s Violin Concerto. In addition to his solo work, he has been an active contributor to the international chamber music scene, performing extensively in Russia, Ukraine. Portugal, France and Australia.

As a very talented musician, Mark comes highly recommended by such eminent international figures as Mstislav Rostropovitch, Jose Serebrier. Professor of the Royal Academy of Music Gregory Gislin and John DeMain, Musical Director of Madison Symphony. Rostropovitch praises Mark as an "excellent violinist, a leader of remarkable chamber ensembles and orchestras" and describes him as a " very sensitive musician " . After conducting the Moscow Soloists, Serebrier notes Mark's "extraordinary talent " and emphasizes his "great technique. musicality and wonderful disposition". John De Main refers to Mark as "an outstanding violinist and concertmaster", and Gregory Gislin praises his "brilliant technique, beautiful sound, striking sensitivity and profound interpretation".

Mark has been the recipient of many prestigious national and international awards. He is a double prize-winner of the Ukrainian Competition both as a soloist and a chamber music performer as well as a prize-winner of the Soviet Union Violin Competition. After being awarded the second prize in the Paganini International Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy, Musical Life in an article entitled "The Song of the Great Maestro's Violin" wrote of his "mature " performance: "I have to remark on such qualities as his subtle understanding of the genre and style peculiarities of the works he performs, his exact tastes and a special spirituality of playing " (1985).

Mark's experience as a first violin helps him to achieve mutual understanding with an orchestra while performing solo. He has been the concertmaster of the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra in Russia, the concertmaster of the Porto Symphony in Portugal and the concertmaster of the Moscow-Montpellier Soloists Chamber Orchestra in France. After settling permanently in Australia, he has been appointed Associate Concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Mark Mogilevski is currently a first violin of the MSO and a well-known lecturer at the College of the Arts, Melbourne University and Monash University.
